Inspiring Community Conversations: Advance Care Planning

Event Date

Wednesday, March 25
11:30 - 2:30 pm

Hosted by Messiah Lifeways Coaching

Join us at Messiah Lifeways® at Messiah Village, located at 100 Mt. Allen Drive in Mechancisburg, for a free program to inspire community conversations about advance care planning. Lunch will be provided and guests will be given the choice to attend a screening of Consider the Conversation or to play Hello, a surprisingly fun game about living and dying well.

Watch CONSIDER THE CONVERSATION...Consider the Conversation: A Documentary on a Taboo Subject (60 min.) was created to inspire dialogue about end-of-life wishes and promote advance care planning. The film includes interviews with patients, doctors, nurses and clergy and encourages people to have an advanced directive – a legal document that states a person’s wishes at end-of-life.

Or play HELLO... Hello is a game about living and dying well. It’s a conversation game in which people take turns answering provocative questions about what matters to them. Some of the questions are placed in an end-of-life context. At the heart of Hello are 32 questions in a booklet you take home.
